Belina Meador
Founding Director
Belina works in climate and energy programs and has spent the past eight years managing community-centered responses to climate change across local government, nonprofits, and grassroots coalitions. She created Climate Cafe GNV out of a recognition that people in her community were suffering in isolation, and a belief that building a livable future requires cultural integration with the deeper lessons of our time through spaces where people can process change, find connection, and practice caring for one another.
Brooke Watkins
Director
Brooke is a grants and nonprofit professional in fundraising, capacity building, and workforce development. She has a bachelor’s in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation and Geoscience from the University of Florida, and worked in local and state governments for eight years addressing natural resource challenges in wildlife, fisheries, water, and land management. Witnessing gaps in culture to process environmental grief and disconnection, Brooke is passionate about Climate Cafe GNV’s science-backed approach to community resilience and wellbeing, creating spaces for people to connect with others, experience and express their relationship to their environment.
Jerald Pinson
Director
Jerald is a writer at the Florida Museum of Natural History. He's passionate about nature, gardening, and the principle of equality for all people and respect for all creatures.
